I had a friend fly in from San Diego a couple weeks ago to watch me work. She wanted to see how I created the images that I get and work them from beginning to end in photoshop. I got two of my senior models to help out while I was demonstrating posing, lighting, etc. Thank you Madeline and Keely!! We had a great time over the weekend, the senior models were fantastic! Here’s a handful of the images! Enjoy!
I had the pleasure of having Kayla as one of my Carthage senior models last year, and Kimber followed suit by being one of my senior models for the 2010-2011 senior year! I love the Tarwaters! Who doesn’t?? We had so much fun during Kimber’s session! She has the most AMAZING eyes EVER! We visited one of my favorite antique stores on the square and did some of the session in there which was totally fun and different!

Molli is my senior model from Liberal Missouri! We did her session a few weeks ago, and now that it’s hot outside, it’s hard to believe that we were all pretty cold that morning of her shoot! It was a little early, but we used the morning sunrise to capture some fantastic images! Molli was a pleasure to work with, and I can’t wait for her senior shoot! I had such a wonderful time!

Lexy is one of my senior models from Webb City! I got to hang out with Lexy and her mom for an afternoon, and had such a blast! We headed to Joplin for her modeling session and the light and wind were on our side! The wind was our personal little modeling fan, and the light was perfect that evening!
Oh, and Lexy was TOTALLY rock’n the pink shoes!

Well, I would like to say I was at some obscure Caribbean Island on a family vacation, or maybe doing a model shoot, but, I’ve been around here for the most part! I think that being on the internet too much has been sucking the creative juices out of me, so, other then a little Facebook time, I’ve pretty much stayed away! But, shame on me for not updating my blog!
I’ve been busy the past month getting my senior model program going for the 2010-2011 school year, and have some amazing senior models! Everyone of them has been a pleasure to work with, and of course all beautiful both inside and out! I’ll be posting pictures of them throughout the next couple weeks!
I took a trip to Minneapolis this past week and shot along side some of the nations top senior and fashion photographers! It was so much fun! Great networking and of course always being the student that I am, picked up a few new fun things to work into my senior sessions and weddings!
I had my first of six weddings this summer just over a week ago! It was crazy fun, and Matt and Kristi were wonderful! They got married in the Bittersweet Log Church in Webb City, which was a beautiful setting! I’ll be posting some of those images as well here soon!
Now, just five more weddings this summer and then I can relax! :)

I hung out with my good friend Brian with Eyeworks photography, and Brent with Jones Photography from Springfield the other day. We got a few models together and created some amazing images.

Marlie is turning 16!! Whooohoo! For her birthday, she wanted a sweet 16 model shoot! How fun! She came totally prepared with several cute outfits, and was ready to go! The weather wasn’t our friend, but, that’s where experience comes in to overcome those obstacles! We created some truly gorgeous images! I know Marlie and her mom will have a hard time choosing which ones to get! They had such a great time together during the shoot, and I was happy to be part of it!
Happy birthday Marlie! My gift to you… a few sneak peeks! 
Jordynn came in last week for some head shots she needed to send in for a possible internship at Student Life. I’ve shot Jordynn before, and she’s a total blast…I’m not sure which one of us is more of a jokester! (Jokester is apparently not a word according to spell check!). We had a great time, and ended up with some fantastic images for her to submit as head shots for her internship! Best of luck Jordynn and let me know when you find out something!!!
Jalyn came in last week for a modeling shoot to add to her growing portfolio! For a model, it’s always good to have a diverse portfolio and look. Our theme for this shoot was more fashion then anything else, kind of what you see in a lot of ads these days in Elle, Vogue, etc. We had a great time and ended up with some beautiful images that will be great for her to use towards her modeling career! The beret and dress…not going to lie, was my idea. I think it surprised us both how cool it actually looked together! Check it out!
Aubrey contacted me a while back about working on her modeling portfolio. Aubrey was a senior last year, we had an absolute awesome shoot then, so, I was looking forward to her modeling session yesterday to say the least. Since coming back from San Diego, I’ve been excited to get in the studio and work on some new lighting techniques, and some new photoshop skills I picked up.
Yesterday was such a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, no wind…you really couldn’t ask for better since it’s JANUARY!
Aubrey, you were fantastic as expected, and we have some smashing good images for your portfolio!
